Founded in 1993, the Vintage Film Festival is an annual fundraising event organized by the Marie Dresser Foundation. What began as a small celebration of classic movies has grown into one of Canada's most beloved film events.
Each October, we present a carefully curated program of films at least 50 years old, including silent films with live musical accompaniment. Over three days, audiences enjoy classic cinema, a Sunday lunchtime film talk, special Festival merchandise, a silent auction, and conversation with fellow film lovers - all in support of the Foundation's charitable initiatives.
